This is the page for Edinburgh Napier University module ‘Production and Professional Practice’.
Over the course of the trimester, students will create a series of pieces utilising genre-specific production techniques. These recordings will be regularly peer-assessed and presented to the class for group discussion. Concurrently, students will be required to create a public-facing online presence from which to present their portfolio of recorded work and what they offer to potential clients. This will include a biography, portfolio of work, upload and download section and blog post. The major purpose of this module is to combine music production skills with good interpersonal skills and a working knowledge of online promotion and interaction.
This module is concerned with continuing to develop skills as a recording engineer while also building a range of skills involving interaction with clients and the public in a recording context.
